Where Silence Glows by John Rocha
Acrylic Painting
36x36
Art is my passion and it has played a prominent role in my life since I was a young child. The discoveries I have made with my art have all been through my own self-taught trial and error. I am inspired by the masters of the past such as the Impressionists, Post-Impressionists, Ashcan artists, Hudson River School painters, Georgia O'Keeffe, Frida Kahlo, and many more. At times, I may struggle as I work through the highs and lows of the artistic process and overthinking about my art, but in the end I simply like to pick up a brush and paint as I strive for natural immediacy. Like Bob Ross, "happy accidents". My interest in nature and hiking serve as inspiration for the subject matter in my paintings.
