CHORUS
The Bay Area Chorus was founded in 1968. Its membership typically numbers 50-60 singers from every walk of life. Many of our chorus members are professional musicians, but most are not. While their musical abilities vary, they all share a love of music and song.
Since 1995, the Bay Area Chorus has been under the leadership of Chorus Conductor, Martha Campanile. The chorus performs three concerts a year along with several “special music” events.
The Bay Area Chorus has performed hundreds of pieces of music covering various genres that include classical, jazz, baroque, spiritual, folk, pop, and show tunes. They rehearse at Bayport United Methodist Church in Bayport NY on Wednesday nights at 7:30 pm. Rehearsals for the 2023 concert season start on September 6th.
.
Members do not need to audition. You must just love to sing and to be open to learning new music.
Bay Area Chorus Concerts are open to the public and free to attend. Donations are kindly accepted.
