Shining Through by Kathleen Gerlach
Photograph
11x14
My photo “Shining Through”, was taken upstairs in the hay storage room on an old abandoned farm. As the early afternoon sun begins to shine between the wooden slats, the dark and quiet space begins to dance with light, creating patterns on the floor and hay. No longer black, the light brings a warmth to the interior, painting soft stripes of gold within. The gift of light can always take the darkness away.
