Night Falls by Jennifer Bartlett
Photograph
11x14
The sun burns bright despite night falling, shining like a beacon in the sky, providing warmth and light even as it sets. This photo captures the natural cycle of night and day, its steadfastness and steadiness, one of the few things in life we can be certain of, that night will turn to day, and day will turn to night, a repetitive, reliable pattern. It reminds us that as we experience lows and darkness, we also experience highs and lightness. They co-exist not only in our surroundings, but within us.
Photo captured at the Jones Beach Energy & Nature Center, July 24, 2025.
