This piece, inspired by Brookhaven State Park, illustrates the clarity and relief gained when walking through the trails. I have often used a long solitary walk through this park to think through difficult situations and emotions, and always come out feeling a bit lighter.
 
About Lorelei Olk:
Lorelei Olk is a landscape artist currently working as a design consultant on Long Island. She earned a bachelor's degree in Studio Art in upstate New York’s lush Catskill Mountains, where her appreciation for nature and conservation grew. Her paintings focus on natural themes and document the places she visits, with an emphasis on color and texture. This passion has led her to pursue a new degree in geoscience, which she is currently working toward. She hopes to have a hand in protecting the different environments from which she draws so much inspiration.
