This sculptural piece symbolizes the fabric of life. Its richly textured surface resembles a woven tapestry, each ridge a thread of experience, memory, and growth. Scattered across the surface are dark punctures, symbolic of life's inevitable struggles and uncertainties that create gaps in our journey. Yet these voids are not empty. Light emerges through them, representing the strength, resilience, and hope that rise from hardship. Like a well-worn cloth, life is not defined by its perfection, but by the stories embedded in its folds - where darkness once settled, light now shines. Through this piece, struggle and triumph are forever woven together.
 
About Earthenwood Artisans:
EarthenWood Artisans is a creative collaboration of Bobbie and Bob Dalpiaz, a retired art teacher and full-time potter, and Bob, a full-time musician and woodworker. We combine our talents to create unique, handmade, functional artwork using exotic woods and high-fire pottery.

We started our business career traveling to art shows in the tri-state area.  We were awarded Best Pottery several times at the Gallery North Art Show and were included in the Winner’s Circle Gallery show.  We were also awarded Best Pottery at the Sayville Summerfest on more than one occasion. We currently show our work at the William Ris Gallery in Jamesport, the Reboli Center in Stony Brook, and sell work at the Catbird Seat in Sayville. We are also pleased and honored to have shown our work at the BAFFA Art Gallery on several occasions.
