This painting of the boat at the dock was a reminder of going out on the boats with my brothers when I was young. We were going through our home as my father went into a nursing home, and this painting became an outlet for working through the stress. I find the detail work helps me take a break from stress. The image of the boat has always made me think that the boat is ready to depart; it is waiting for someone to return or for someone to take a journey.
 
About Teresa Cromwell:
Teresa has been painting with watercolor for 20 years, beginning with a local adult ed course and taking many workshops from Masters in the field. She has entered local and International exhibitions, and is honored to have earned Signature Status in four Watercolor Societies on the East Coast. She has begun to teach local watercolor classes. Teresa enjoys helping others develop skills and meeting others who have an interest in art.
