I love waterfalls, especially ones that are tucked away in the forest. Discovering one during a hike in the woods is like finding a large diamond in a wild river- priceless! I decided to paint this piece in the autumn season. The rich colors of the leaves in contrast to the foamy white water, is like that ray of hope in the "autumn season" of life.
 
About Barbara Gould:
I rediscovered my passion for painting on a camping trip last summer when my sister-in-law brought out her paints for the children (and adults) to create artwork. I started to paint the small coasters she brought and then recalled the love I had for creating art many decades ago during my childhood days, . Now, one year later and after taking a few painting classes in town, I am more excited than ever to pursue my "new" found hobby. You are never too old to discover or rediscover the artist within.
