I have been an artist for as long as I can remember. From an early age of simple mark making to developing my skills and techniques in order to better express my ideas, art and the act of creating has been a driving force in my life. I work in various drawing and painting mediums. As well as clay sculpture and ceramics. Whatever the medium I am working in I hope to create work that will evoke a response from my audience. Weather a portrait or a landscape or a more emotionally driven work it is my hope that my work will move people and evoke questions. To present the world in such a way that brings into question current thoughts and to open up our minds to new possibilities. 
 
About Joseph Wilkonski:
Joseph Wilkonski is a graduate of SVA, Adelphi, and Long Island University. He holds a Masters in Art and Fine Art. He has been an art educator for over 27 years, while continuing to pursue his artistic creations. He works in pencil, charcoal, oil, acrylic, watercolor, clay sculpture, and ceramics. Portrait work is a favorite subject. Joseph also likes to explore topics related to the human condition and the relationship of humans with the natural world.
