Paper Quilled Poinsettia Workshop

Discover the art of paper quilling with multi-media artist, Carol McMahon.  Using a slotted tool, participants will learn how to coil and shape strips of paper to create beautiful poinsettias.

Fees:  Member: $30.00 (A current BAFFA membership is required for discount and will be checked at purchase.)

About Carol:

From a young age, Carol McMahon has been drawn to colors, textures, and shapes. Over the years, her urge to find creative expression has led her to become skillful in many different types of media. Painting (acrylic, pastel, and watercolor), drawing, glass art, mosaics, paper marbling, paper quilling, and quilting, she loves it all! She found her niche when she discovered paper quilling. Paper quilling involves rolling/shaping and gluing paper strips to create a beautiful image or design.

Carol’s work has been shown over the past ten years at the BAFFA Gallery, Bayard Cutting Arboretum, Islip Art Museum, Long Island Maritime Museum, Port Jefferson Village Center, and Suffolk County Historical Society Museum, as well as numerous libraries throughout Suffolk County. She is a member of BAFFA, the North American Quilling Guild, the North Shore Art Guild, and Women Sharing Art.
