LORI SCARLATOS

Lori Scarlatos holds a BFA in Painting from Pratt Institute and a PhD in Computer Science from Stony Brook University. She teaches college courses on Design (games, interactions, and educational technology) and Color (in technology and art). Her artwork has been selected for juried shows around LI, Las Laguna Gallery in California, and the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club (CLWAC) in NYC.
Artist Statement:
Every picture tells a story … in my world. Some of my work is inspired by stories told by others, while other works depict stories that I have been a part of in some way, either an event that I participated in or a moment in a beautiful setting. Most of my work tells stories about my subjects, both people and animals, and one can often see me drawing in a sketchbook that I carry everywhere to capture those stories.
TONY SCARLATOS

Tony Scarlatos is a photographer and a professor of computer science at Stony Brook University. His work has been shown at the Art League of Long Island and the NY Center for Photographic Art.
Artist Statement:
My work focuses on unusual places and people creating or interacting in those spaces.

ARTHUR POORE

Artie Poore is an award-winning artist, painter, sculptor, gadgeteer, and puppeteer. His paintings occupy a unique, surreal, and fantasy world. Artie was also a NYC Firefighter for 23 years through the 9/11 disaster. As a puppeteer, he toured their original shows with his wife, Jul, throughout the NY area for 25 years before a sudden and tragic day in 2008 when Jul passed away. They designed and created several dozen marionettes and numerous other styles of puppetry, from animation to large parade puppets, and founded Dreamlike Puppet Company. Artie continues to perform solo, short-form puppet pieces and exhibits his paintings around the Long Island area.
