ABOUT THE SHOW:
Pieces of Us is a captivating collaborative exhibition that celebrates the art of connection through collage. Created from magazine and newspaper clippings, enhanced with ink, colored pencil, and paint, each piece transforms everyday materials into meaningful works of art. This extraordinary exhibition embraces both the beauty of the creative process and the vulnerability of sharing personal expression through layering images and textures. Pieces of Us showcases how ordinary fragments can become extraordinary works of art.

DIANA ALIBERTI
Diana Aliberti has always been engaged with art in some way. She has painted on sneakers, T-shirts, canvases, paper, furniture, cigar boxes, and jewelry boxes... every paintable surface is a canvas. While Diana has not had formal training as an artist, she has taken many professional art workshops that explored fundamental and advanced techniques.
While her primary medium is watercolor, Diana has recently begun to explore collage. She finds collage ideas are vast and unlimited. She finds incorporating different materials and combining paint engaging and challenging. Now that she is retired from teaching elementary school, there is more time to experiment. There are many more ideas to explore and different textures to try, so many more pieces will be created.
Artist Statement: Exploring different genres of art has been a highlight of my life. Collage allows me to be free to explore many materials, patterns, and styles.
