When Dogma Turned To Dust by Jennifer Uihlein

“When Dogma Turned to Dust” is a visual requiem for the moment when inherited beliefs begin to give way to doubt and reflection. The image evokes a sacred space suspended in time—bathed in golden light, yet shadowed by the weight of what’s fading. The central altar and cross are not symbols of certainty, but of transformation. Here, dogma is not violently rejected but allowed to erode, to settle into dust rich with memory and meaning. That dust speaks quietly—of reverence, of grief, of the uneasy beauty found in undoing. This work invites the viewer into a threshold space, where the architecture of tradition begins to blur and the self emerges anew. It honors what once was, while making room for what’s still forming. In this collapse, there is both mourning and liberation—a sacred unraveling, and the beginning of something unknown.
