Thank you for exhibiting at the BAFFA Art Gallery!

Please watch the video & review the important checklist below regarding opening the gallery, gallery sales, & more about the gallery.

Opening the Gallery:

  1. Open the door by accessing the lockbox with the code provided in your email.

  2. Bungee the door open if it is a nice day.

  3. Place the OPEN flag in the flag mount to the left of the gallery door.

  4. Hang small, white, wooden sign under the exterior sign case by the street.

  5. Put the gallery directional sign to the right of the end of the ramp (front door) into the grass or garden bed.

  6. Hammer the stake into the grassy patch between the sidewalk and street near the entrance of the path, and insert the banana banner into it. (Hammer can be found in the toolbox inside the cabinets to the left of the fireplace.)

  7. If the weather is nice, bungee the exterior door open by using the hook on the house.

  8. Open the blinds on the windows.

  9. Turn on all interior lights. 

Closing the Gallery:

  1. Remove the white wooden sign, directional sign, banana banner, stake, and flag and bring them back inside.

  2. Confirm that the interior door to Gillette House/bathroom is locked.

  3. Close the blinds on the windows.

  4. Turn off all interior lights. 

  5. Close the main door, lock BOTH exterior locks, insert the key into the lock box, and scramble the numbers.

Other things to note:

  1. You can choose to answer the phone or not. Please greet with "Bay Area Friends of the Fine Arts."

  2. ​No guests can roam the building, and the bathroom is only open to those visiting the gallery.

  3. Please encourage guests to donate and hand them a flyer on upcoming events.

  4. The AC remote is on the wall by the desk. Please do NOT change the AC temperature unless absolutely necessary. 

Sales:

  1. All sales MUST go through the gallery and tax must be charged, if NOT a BAFFA Members' Exhibition and purchased through BAFFA's website shop.

  2. All sold artwork can only be picked up AFTER the exhibition closes, unless it is approved otherwise.

  3. For BAFFA Members' Shows, all artwork can be purchased via BAFFA's online shop and that QR code will be displayed during the exhibition. Tax will be charged on these sales.

  4. For Solo Shows, all solo artists must keep track of their inventory and make those sales through the QR code located on the top of the computer with tax added. Calculate the tax at 8.75% for the buyer and have them add it to the price at time of sale. Make sure the buyer also fills out an Art Purchase Form and place that in the donation box. If the buyer pays in exact cash or check, then put the form and payment in a manilla envelope and put in donation box.

  5. For Art Group Shows, all artwork must be purchased through the QR code located on the top of the computer with tax added.
