A collection of watercolor paintings influenced by life's moments captured through a camera lens.

ARTIST BIO:

In her childhood, Stephanie developed a passion for photography, influenced by her father, who viewed the world through his camera lens. Like him, she began capturing life’s fleeting moments, but she always sensed a void. Although she engaged with the arts during her younger years, her career demands often overshadowed her creative pursuits. Fortunately, early retirement opened the door to explore “what was missing,” leading her to draw and paint the beauty around her. She experimented with various mediums but consistently felt a pull towards watercolor. It was during her watercolor classes that she encountered exceptional masters who have since become her mentors.

To further nurture her artistic growth and curiosity, Stephanie sought workshops abroad, engaging in both virtual and in-person classes with many esteemed art instructors. She learned techniques and approaches to refine her skills. What many consider the most challenging medium, she finds to be the most rewarding. She loves the immediacy of watercolor, the way pigments interact with water, and the control of transparency.

Her artistic style leans toward realism, characterized by contrasting colors and bold compositions filled with intricate details. She draws inspiration from a more relaxed approach to watercolor that suggests a subject with minimal detail while still conveying a story, as reflected in her work. Her studies of picturesque landscapes, stunning architecture, and tropical scenes come alive in her vibrant paintings.

I believe you can create anything that resonates in your mind. Painting is just another way of keeping a diary of your life.
