Whitney Bell

Whitney Bell is a landscape photographer who creates visual poetry as she explores themes of hope and resiliency. Quiet in their intensity, she makes powerfully poetic images that transcend the subject and transport the viewer. Following a successful career as an interior designer with a boutique design firm in Manhattan, Whitney shifted her attention toward the art of photography and resumed her studies at the International Center of Photography in 2022. Whitney’s work has been recognized in juried exhibitions across Long Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and online publications. In the Spring of 2023, Whitney was invited by the notable photographer Janelle Lynch to participate in a weekly Salon where she continues to be mentored and supported by her peers in her artistic endeavors.
I believe in the restorative power of being in nature and its ability to transform one's state of mind. Guided by my intuition, I immerse myself in the wonder of the natural landscape seeking solace and hope. It is a form of meditation for me where I find peace and stillness. I think that experience is reflected in the images I make.

Holly Hunt

Holly Hunt is a New York-based photographer who is celebrated for her evocative self-portraits and haunting images of abandoned locations, which reflect her personal journey. Her exploration of photography commenced with a Polaroid camera and subsequently transitioned to digital formats as she refined her skills through dedicated practice and self-education. Since 2017, she has participated in over fifty exhibitions across various locations, from New York to Kentucky, and has been honored with eight photography awards. In 2021, she started capturing abstract drone photography, showcasing intricate details of the beauty from above.
For the past ten years, I have earned the nickname “Abandoned Photographer.” While this title still fits, my latest works feature self-portraits taken in places that many might not deem conventionally beautiful. As a photographer known for capturing the unconventional, purchasing a drone presented me with a dilemma. Suddenly, I found myself photographing landscapes and beaches—subjects that everyone else was shooting—and discovering unique beauty in these scenes proved a challenge. This led me to ponder, “Can I stand out and show the world a different view of the same thing?” This question transformed into a goal and eventually evolved into a journey, revealing that even the most photographed locations hold hidden stories waiting to be uncovered, and I could tell them. My collection, Coastal Impressions, embodies this vision. It features a series of images that not only highlight my artistic style from both aerial and ground perspectives but also reflect my essence. Each photograph represents a piece of me.

Jeanette Leonard

Coming from a background in fashion, Jeanette Leonard is a graduate of the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology; she had fallen in love with the beauty of beads during her time in the industry.
A lifelong Long Islander, Leonard has found the ocean treasures of the blues and grays of sea glass and pearls as a natural media for her visions of elegant jewelry.
I am inspired by the beauty all around me. Nature has a way of making the imperfect perfect and that is what draws me to design and create. Just like no two people are alike, I try to make each piece of jewelry (or home decor) a little different from the next. The natural beach elements, such as keshi pearls, genuine sea glass, or sun bleached driftwood, are a jumping off point for each unique piece of jewelry.

Bobby Alan

I’m driven by the art that presents itself in the natural world, and my images are the canvas to express my vision. I’m passionate about sharing what I have been lucky to witness, and I hope to captivate the senses and inspire appreciation for the outdoors. I’m most fascinated by the play between my subject matter and the light that surrounds it. For the past five years, I’ve been a professional artist specializing in ocean and architectural photography. As a member and affiliate of several New York-based artists’ associations, I’m motivated to pursue meaningful connections within the community and further explore my creative expression. Currently, I’m a volunteer with the Eastern Long Island Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, where I am the acting treasurer. I’m constantly expanding my horizons, and I hope that the images I create and display both engage and inspire the viewer.
