The Choral Director of the

Bay Area Friends of Fine Arts

Martha Campanile

BAFFA is proud to again present its esteemed Choral Director, Martha Campanile.  As a result of her many years of dedication, both our chorus membership and audience have grown.  BAFFA is very appreciative of her tenure with us.

Mrs. Campanile holds a Master’s Degree from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Nazarene College in Massachusetts.  She has completed extensive graduate work at the prestigious Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey and has participated in International Choral Conducting Workshops in Norway, France, Scotland and Austria.  She appears in “Who’s Who of American Teachers,” “Outstanding Elementary Teacher of America” and received recognition as a “Brookhaven Town Woman of the Year – in the Arts.” Mrs. Campanile is an adjudicator for NYSSMA, All State Voice and Choral – Major Organizations and supervises student vocal music teachers for SUNY College at Fredonia.

Mrs. Campanile presently serves as Choir Director and Organist of the United Methodist Church of Patchogue.  She also conducts the Chorale Society of the Moriches.  She is the former Director of the Youth Chorale for the Brookhaven Choral Festival. She enjoys participating in recitals as an accompanist and frequently shares music with several local churches as an organist and part time choral director.

Mrs. Campanile maintains a private studio for voice and piano instruction. Although she loves to be involved in many musical events, her favorite monthly activity is the trip she takes to Vermont to visit her children and grandchildren.  When asked about her relationship with BAFFA, Mrs. Campanile replied, “It is always a joy to share music and work with special friends.”
